Just For Fun

Here’s a little story for the lighter side:

There once was

a little girl

who knew that there was no way to be perfect,

but she tried anyhow,

because trying hard was all she knew

and it was easier than admitting that perfection didn’t exist.

one day the little girl set out to find her fortune

because she had been told that was what little girls do.

after a time, up came a whirlwind that lifted her high and spun her around

until she was so dizzy, she didn’t know which way was up.

eventually the whirlwind blew itself out

and dropped the little girl gently

on top of a haystack where she slept and slept.

After she woke up, she set out again, and by and by she met a tiger.

  ”Mom, that’s from the wrong story. “

  ”Well, it is in another story, but it’s also in this one.’

So, she met a tiger, and believe it or not,

They sat down to play pinochle, trump cards and all.

The tiger won, but being a friendly tiger,

He didn’t lord it over the little girl.

He just took it in stride and said:

“better luck next time.”

Then it was time for dinner

And the little girl started to get nervous.

She had heard that tigers could be fierce and angry,

And, well, carnivorous.

But this tiger was a very unusual tiger.

He had been raised by monkeys and was a vegetarian.

So, they sent out for a veggie pizza with a side of hot sauce,

And they ate their supper together as the sun went down.
